About NA
About Narcotics Anonymous
Narcotics Anonymous is an international, community-based fellowship for people recovering from addiction.
NA meetings are organised by recovering addicts. The fellowship has no membership fees.
NA is not connected to a religion, government, treatment facility, political organisation, or other outside organisation.
Our primary purpose
NA groups have one primary purpose: to carry the message of recovery to the addict who still suffers.
How meetings work
Meetings are held regularly at the same time and place. Members share their experience with addiction and recovery. Some meetings focus on a reading, a step, or a topic. Anyone who wants to stop using is welcome.
The Twelve Steps
The Twelve Steps are the core of the NA recovery program. Read them on the official NA World Services website (opens in new tab).
The Twelve Traditions
The Twelve Traditions guide how NA groups function and relate to one another and to the outside world. Read them on the official NA website (opens in new tab).
Anonymity
Members share first names only, if they choose. What is seen and heard at a meeting stays there. This website does not list the names of any members.
NA worldwide
NA meetings are held in many countries and languages. Serbian-language meetings are listed at Narcotics Anonymous Serbia (opens in new tab); meetings worldwide at the NA meeting search (opens in new tab).
